I always like to hear what other authors have to say about their writing experiences.  Here's a short interview with Alice Hoffman - it's a partial interview only, the website with the full interview is listed at the end of the video.

It always blows me away that even people like Alice Hoffmann still have a lot of the same daunting feelings as they approach a new book. It gives hope in some ways.

I really liked some of her comments and hope you will too.

Borders Interviews Carlos Ruiz Zafón

I've talked a lot about The Angel's Game and how amazing I think Carlos Ruiz Zafón's writing is, as well as Lucia Graves for her translation. I found a great interview with the author. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

P.D. James on Writing

On 22 December 2009 P.D. James was on NPR to talk about her new book, Talking about Detective Fiction (Knopf, 2009).  It was a very good interview and she had some great things to say about writing mysteries.  Many things that she mentioned also have a place in any type of fiction writing.  I've been meaning to share it, so here it is - finally.  Let me know how you like it.
